Gladstone Hotel room

The project involved the renovation of a hotel room in the Gladstone Hotel. The existing historic shell of the room was maintained while a new room ‘structure’ built with engineered lumber was installed that supported a bed, and floating bed side tables and desk, creating a ‘room within a room’. A custom horizontal light fixture wraps around the room functioning as general room lighting, desk task lighting and bedside reading lights.

This project won a national design award and was published in numerous publications including the Globe & Mail, Canadian Architect, Canadian Interiors, Metropolitan Home, Espace, Applied Arts, amongst others.
