The project was executed in two separate phases three years apart: the first phase was a renovation to the lower apartment of a duplex, the second phase was to convert the house back to a single family residence for the same owners. The contemporary renovation involved relocating walls, a new stair to connect the three stories, new finishes throughout, a new kitchen, new bathrooms, and custom millwork. A custom steel and clear acrylic screen allows light down from the third floor skylight.
This project won a national design award and has been published in the Globe & Mail as well as Chatelaine magazine.
